McCONNELLSBURG, Penn. – The U.S. Navy has placed its second order in 2010 with JLG Industries Inc. to build vehicles that will be used to help technicians install and remove engines from aircraft.
The second order, for 38 Engine Installation and Removal Vehicles, is worth about $6 million, JLG announced June 15. The first order for 26 vehicles, worth about $4 million, was announced April 5 by JLG. The vehicles are to be used at naval facilities worldwide.
“Developing solutions, specific to the needs of the U.S. military, has become a core competency here at JLG,” said Denny Buterbaugh, JLG’s vice president for government products and programs.
